INTERFAITH SPIRITUAL SAUNTER
Hosted by Lane Interfaith Alliance (LIA)
Please join us Sunday, August 1st at 6:00 pm for a meditative saunter
in celebration of the Season for the Earth at Cortesia Sanctuary in Eugene.
We will be gathering to honor the beauty and wonder of nature while experiencing our deep connection with ourselves, each other, and all creation. Brief sharings from various faith traditions will set the tone for a silent stroll around the gardens and woods. This will be followed by a finger food potluck so bring your favorites. Those who wish can stay to watch the sunset - a special Cortesia tradition. There are a number of sitting areas that overlook the valley and Fern Ridge Reservoir for some spectacular vistas. We look forward to being with all of you in this sacred nature sanctuary, celebrating the joy of oneness and honoring the Season for the Earth.
Temperatures at Cortesia (1,000 ft. above Eugene) are often about ten degrees cooler and breezy on this ridge top. Hence, guests will want to dress appropriately, including a shawl or jacket as the evening cools down and wearing appropriate footwear.
Directions to Cortesia at 84540 McBeth Rd: South on Willamette (uphill) for about 4 miles past Spencer Butte Park to end. Turn right on Fox Hollow for 2 miles until road forks at fire station (blue building). Take right fork onto McBeth Rd. to 1st drive with metal gate and sign on left (do not turn on LeBleu Rd.) and drive down to meadow parking.
