Dear Friends,
You are warmly invited to attend the Sunday, April 11th Interfaith Prayer Service. We have a unique service planned based on the many requests for sacred stories we have received over the years. The program will include presentations from the Bahá'í, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Sikh and Sufi faith traditions. Spencer Blank, a concert pianist, will provide the prelude music. The Waldorf Community Choir will offer two selections. Forrest McDowell of Cortesia Sanctuary will provided brief interlude music for contemplation between each story.
The theme is "Founders of Faiths/Miracles of Peace". The "Founders" themselves are the true "Miracles of Peace" sent to humanity by our call for help through prayer. We believe these Divine Manifestations of Love and Peace did not come to divide us, but rather to raise us to our highest potential and unite us as a spiritual family.
This service is a sincere gift from us to our whole community. Please make this letter of invitation and the attachments available to your family, friends and faith community. We feel it is important for us all to gather together in these troubled times to nourish respect and harmony. When we unite in goodwill and prayer, we can transform the world.
